(You may want to read this if you have a mortgage, as he explains how the banks don’t have most of the money you “borrow.” They just charge you interest on the money you pay them back. If you default, then they take your property in compensation for money they never had available to you in the first place.)
During the interview, Edward Griffin mentioned the books of one of the most prominent US lawyers, Gerry Spence, who went through many life-learning lessons in his career. In some of his best-selling books, he blew open the deep corruption he perceived within the US court system. On May 8, Senator Ron Johnson released a 600-page report on failures in COVID-19 vaccine safety monitoring. On June 3, he held a Senate hearing on the same subject. The hearing record stays open until June 18 — the same day the FDA’s vaccine advisory committee votes on whether to approve Moderna’s new mRNA flu shot.
Most of the coverage has focused on who said what at the hearing. Almost nobody is talking about what’s actually in the report. So let’s lay it out.
But the FDA also had access to a method called RGPS — Recursive GPS, developed and run by Dr. Ana Szarfman, a senior FDA scientist. According to the Public Health Policy Journal’s analysis of the Johnson report, Dr. Szarfman’s method found 49 examples of what the report calls “extreme masking” — cases where the standard tool didn’t just miss a safety signal, but where the structure of the method itself buried the signal beneath statistical noise.

Ottawa Police Detective Helen Grus, a veteran investigator in the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit, was convicted of Discreditable Conduct under Ontario’s Police Services Act on March 25, 2025.
Incredibly, the internal Tribunal Officer found that Detective Grus should have asked for permission before initiating an investigation into an unusual cluster of infant deaths – due to the “political and societal ramifications” of her inquiries, and because she was investigating “public officials”.

Failure and rejection are necessary for character-building and success. I am no stranger to rejection, and I would bet that my lovely group of subscribers here at Substack are not strangers to rejection either. From job interview failures to relationships, most of us have had our fair share of rejection experiences. Even being bullied is a form of social rejection. I know a lot about being bullied – from the grade school experiences to the COVID era – it’s all about rejection stemming from being perceived as “different” somehow.
Withstanding rejection to me, is a key element in the generation (or perhaps discovery is a better word) of our characters. There might even be a direct proportionality between the level of rejection we sustain, and the level of character and resilience we carry.
II believe the relationship between rejection and resilience is dynamic. Like any muscle, resilience strengthens when it is exercised through occasional exposure to rejection. This does not mean one needs constant rejection – that would be counterproductive and defeating – but rather that small, manageable doses of non-debilitating rejection are necessary for growth.
