Ahhh The Convenience Of Online Shopping, having your groceries delivered to your door! Not nearly so convenient if, when you order products not in stock. And this wont be advised until AFTER you have paid for your ordered items and your order is fully prepared!!
Then you will receive an email advising you of what goods are not in stock!! They advise that you will receive a refund to cover the difference between what you were charged and the items that could not be supplied!
HOWEVER………..The Following day money will be taken from your account for the correct amount, WHILE THE ORIGINAL PAYMENT REMAINS PENDING IN YOUR ACCOUNT FOR SEVEN DAYS!! For example….If your original billing was $80.25 and the Corrected amount was 70.25 because of unavailable items, BOTH AMOUNTS REMAIN REMOVED FROM YOUR ACCOUNT FOR SEVEN DAYS………………SURELY THE RIGHT THING TO DO WOULD BE TO JUST REFUND THE EIGHT OR SO DOLLARS THAT YOU WERE OVERCHARGED FOR PRODUCTS THAT WERE UNAVAILABLE RATHER THAN CHARGE THE CUSTOMER THE ACTUAL CORRECT AMOUNT, PLUS LEAVING THE ORIGINAL PAYMENT PENDING FOR SEVEN DAYS?????And they lie about it!!
When I noticed on day three that both amounts were still Missing from my account, I contacted Coles information line and asked why both amounts were still outstanding? I was told that it usually takes three days for the monies to be processed………..On day six I contacted Coles yet again, and they advised that sometimes it takes up to seven days to be processed, and that it was the responsibility of my bank to do do this!!
I immediately contacted my credit union, and I asked them when they would process the pending amount back into my account? My Credit Union Replied…..”Is That regarding Coles Supermarket? I replied “Yes” My Credit Union Stated That It is Coles Responsibility to return the money to your account, they ARE LYING TO YOU, THE LONGER THEY HOLD YOUR MONEY THE MORE PROFIT THEY MAKE!! IT WILL BE REFUNDED, BUT NOT UNTIL THE SEVENTH DAY!
My Credit Union Then Told Me That Many Of Our Customers Are Having This Problem. And Some Of Them Have Over $300.00 Outstanding For The Seven Day Period! Imagine the financial hardship that this fraud would cause someone on a fixed income, such as a pensioner?
There are other places that provide home deliveries of food, I suggest you find one that doesn’t lie and cause hardship to those that can least afford it!
I Realise That The Banking Cartels Routinely Hold Up Funds For Processing For A Seven Day Period, And That Is WHY Is Use A Credit Union! They Process Immediately !!
To add insult to injury, my last order was delivered with one third of the ordered items missing!! When I called 😂Coles Customer Service😂 They Assured me that they would give me a credit for the missing items, so that when I made my next purchase, I would be offered a credit when I arrived at the checkout……..I think I’ll PASS!!
